Shed Removal Services in Dublin
An old shed has a way of outstaying its welcome. It starts out useful, then it rots, rusts or cracks, fills up with things you’ve forgotten you own and ends up taking over the best corner of the garden. Taking it down yourself sounds simple until you’re faced with a pile of rotten boards, sharp metal sheets or heavy concrete panels.
We remove sheds for homes across Dublin: wooden, galvanised steel and concrete. We dismantle them safely, take everything away and leave the space clear, ready for whatever you want to do with it next.
Sheds We Remove
Wooden sheds
Timber garden sheds of all sizes, from small tool stores to large workshops. We take them down panel by panel, remove the roof felt and clear the base, even if the wood has rotted or the shed is falling apart.
Metal and galvanised steel sheds
Galvanised and steel sheds are lighter, but the panels are sharp, awkward and often rusted together. We unbolt or cut them apart safely, and the metal is taken away for recycling where possible.
Concrete sheds and garages
Concrete panel sheds and sectional garages are the hardest to remove, because the panels are very heavy and need proper equipment and enough people to move them safely. They’re also not something to attempt yourself. We’ll tell you exactly what’s involved.
Concrete and slab bases
Once the shed is gone, you’re often left with a concrete or paving slab base. We can break it up and remove it, so you have a clear, level site to use for a new lawn, patio or garden.
What’s Included
- Careful dismantling or demolition of the shed
- Removal of the roof, felt, panels, framework and fixings
- Breaking up and removal of the base, if you’d like it gone
- Loading and taking all the waste away
- Sweeping up so the area is left clean
Planning to do something with the space? Once the shed is gone, we can lay instant turf, add gravel or paving, or carry out a full landscaping makeover.
Before We Start
- Empty the shed if you can: it makes the job quicker and cheaper. If you’d like us to clear out the contents, tell us when you request a quote.
- Electrics: if your shed has lights, sockets or a power supply, have them made safe and disconnected by a registered electrician before we start.
- Access: let us know how we get to the shed, for example through a side passage or through the house, as it affects how we work and how long it takes.
A Note on Asbestos
Older sheds and garages, particularly those with grey corrugated roofing or wall panels, can contain asbestos cement. It’s not dangerous when it’s in good condition and left alone, but it becomes a risk when it’s broken, drilled or cut.
In Ireland, asbestos has to be removed by a trained contractor holding the relevant permit, with the Health and Safety Authority notified in advance, and it must be disposed of as hazardous waste. We don’t remove asbestos ourselves. If we think your shed contains it, we’ll stop, explain why and point you to a specialist, so you stay safe and on the right side of the law. If you suspect your shed has asbestos, don’t try to break it up or take it down yourself.
How It Works
- Send us photos: a few pictures of the shed and where it sits, plus the approximate size and what it’s made of.
- Get a clear quote: we’ll tell you what we’d do, how long it will take and what it will cost, including the base if you want it removed.
- Dismantling: we take the shed down safely, starting with the roof, then the walls and framework.
- Removal: everything is loaded and taken away to be recycled or disposed of properly.
- Tidy finish: we sweep up and leave the site clear.
What Happens to the Shed Afterwards?
Where possible, materials are separated and recycled: metal, timber and concrete all have recycling routes. Whatever can’t be recycled is taken to a licensed waste facility, so nothing ends up where it shouldn’t.
How Much Does Shed Removal Cost in Dublin?
Every shed is different, so we price each job individually. The main factors are:
- Material: timber and metal sheds are quicker to take down, while concrete is heavy and costs more to remove and dispose of.
- Size: a small tool shed is a short job, and a large workshop or garage takes longer.
- Base: removing a concrete or slab base is extra work, so it’s priced separately.
- Contents: clearing a full shed adds time and waste.
- Access: long carries or tight side passages make the job slower.
- Condition: a rotten or unsafe shed needs extra care to take down.
The quickest way to get an accurate price is to send us photos for a free quote. We’ll tell you what’s involved and what you’ll pay before we start.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to remove a shed?
A small wooden or metal shed can often be taken down and cleared in a few hours. Larger sheds, concrete structures and bases take longer. We’ll give you an estimate in your quote.
Can you remove a concrete shed or garage?
Yes. Concrete sheds and sectional garages need proper equipment and extra hands, but it’s something we can handle. Send us photos and the approximate size, and we’ll tell you what’s involved.
Do you remove the base as well?
If you’d like. We can break up and remove concrete or slab bases, and it’s quoted separately because it’s heavy, extra work. If the base is in good condition, you may prefer to keep it as a patio or hard standing.
What if my shed has asbestos?
We don’t remove asbestos ourselves. Irish rules require a trained, permitted contractor, with the HSA notified in advance and the waste disposed of as hazardous waste. If we think your shed contains asbestos, we’ll tell you straight away and point you to a specialist.
Do I need to empty the shed first?
It helps, and keeps the cost down. If you’d rather not, let us know and we can clear the contents as part of the job.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes. We remove everything, and take it to be recycled or disposed of at a licensed facility.
Can you remove a shed that’s falling apart?
Yes. Rotten or damaged sheds are some of our most common jobs. We take extra care so nothing collapses during the work.
Do I need to be at home?
Not necessarily, as long as we can reach the shed and have agreed the details. We’ll confirm timings in advance.
