Landscaping Services in Dublin
Most gardens have potential, and a lot of them are just waiting for someone to unlock it. Maybe yours is a bare patch of builders’ rubble, a muddy lawn that never dries out, or a tired space you’ve stopped using. Either way, the right landscaping can turn it into somewhere you actually want to spend time.
We design-and-build landscaping for homes across Dublin, from small city gardens to big suburban plots. We handle the groundwork, the hard landscaping, the lawns and the planting, so you deal with one team from first visit to finished garden.

Landscaping That Works in Irish Weather
Dublin gardens deal with a lot of rain, and plenty of them have heavy, slow-draining soil. That shapes how we build:
- Drainage first: a patio that holds water or a lawn that stays boggy isn’t a good result, however good it looks. We sort levels and drainage before anything else.
- Paving built on solid foundations: well-compacted bases and the right falls keep patios level and stop water pooling.
- Permeable options where they suit: permeable paving and gravel let rain soak away instead of running into drains.
- Hardy planting: plants chosen to cope with wind, wet winters and your garden’s light, so they thrive instead of struggle.
How We Work
- Get in touch: tell us about your garden, what you’d like to change and roughly what you have in mind. Photos help.
- Site visit and plan: we visit, measure up and talk through your ideas, how you use the space and your budget.
- Clear quote: you receive a written quote covering the work, with no surprises.
- Clearing and groundwork: we clear the area, level the ground and sort drainage and foundations.
- Building: patios, paths and structures go in first, followed by lawns, beds and planting.
- Finishing and handover: we tidy up, remove all waste and walk you through looking after your new garden.
Do I Need Planning Permission?
For many garden landscaping jobs, such as laying a patio, planting or creating new lawns, planning permission isn’t needed. But there are exceptions, including some work at the front of the house, new vehicle entrances, larger structures, and homes in conservation areas or protected structures. Dublin’s councils also encourage drainage-friendly surfaces such as permeable paving.
If you’re not sure, ask your local council, or tell us what you’re planning and we’ll point you in the right direction before any work starts.
How Much Does Landscaping Cost in Dublin?
Landscaping costs vary a lot, because no two gardens are alike. The main factors are:
- The size of the garden and the area being worked on
- The materials you choose, such as paving, stone, gravel or timber
- The condition of the ground, including slopes, drainage problems and old surfaces to remove
- How much hard landscaping and planting is involved
- Access to the garden, for example whether materials have to be carried through the house
The best way to get an accurate price is to request a free quote. Send photos and tell us your budget, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s achievable. If your budget doesn’t cover everything at once, we can plan the work in stages.
Why Choose Us
- One team, start to finish: groundwork, hard landscaping, lawns and planting, with no juggling different tradespeople.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a landscaping project take?
It depends on the size and scope. A small patio or lawn can take a few days, while a full garden makeover can take a few weeks. We’ll give you a realistic timeline in your quote, and tell you if the weather might affect it.
When is the best time of year for landscaping?
Work can happen for much of the year. Spring and summer are the busiest, so if you want a project finished for the good weather, it’s worth getting in touch early. Autumn is great for planting and new lawns.
Can you work with my budget?
Yes. Tell us what you’d like to spend and we’ll suggest what’s possible, and how to split bigger projects into stages if needed.
Will you remove my old patio, lawn or rubbish?
Yes. We can clear old surfaces, overgrown areas and waste as part of the job, and leave the site tidy.
Do you design the garden as well?
Yes. We can work from your ideas, or help you plan the layout first. See our garden design service.
Do I need to be at home while you work?
Not all the time. We’ll agree access and timings in advance, and keep you updated as the work progresses.
Can you make my garden low maintenance?
Yes. Hardy planting, mulched beds, good edging and the right mix of lawn and paving can cut upkeep a lot. We can also look after the garden for you afterwards.
